Dragonfly Motif

Dragonflies adorn vases, copperwork and textiles from the Arts & Crafts era. My original conventionalized dragonfly design is inspired by the "play impulse" described in Ernest Batchelder's Design in Theory and Practice, 1910.

Dragonfly Pillow

The pillow is of Flax Canvas Linen, the design carried out in hand embroidery - satin stitch, stem stitch and French knots and is finished 21" square.
