He designed stained-glass windows, furniture, embroidery, and was an illustrator of books. Image was a Professor of Fine Art at Oxford from 1910 to 1916. He was a member of the Art Workers’ Guild in London.
He designed a series of panels for the Royal School of Art Needlework which were offered as kits – this being one of the series. It is very nicely worked in silk embroidery threads.
