Antique linen panel with stencilling and hand embroidery we are calling “Full Bloom” for its vigorous floral design.
The stencilling is variegated colors, the petals are outlined in silk embroidery threads and the leaves are outlined in rayon. This texture of natural brown linen was often called “crash” or “tobacco cloth” One brown spot below the left flower appears to be from the original stencil paint.
The panel measures 18.25″ x 16.25.
